Do you limit the number of clients selling the same products of services?
- The higher the web ranking the higher the web traffic and, given web sites of equal quality and products competitively priced, the higher the sales
- Few people look at web sites beyond the first five positions. Very few look at sites beyond the first ten positions. Therefore, as you progress down the list web traffic, and sales, decrease exponentially.
- Isn't the SEO firm always competing for the top search position for all clients? If they aren't, they should be. If so, isn't there a conflict of interest the minute you take on the second customer?
We will take on two clients with the same type of business as long as they do not offer competing products. If a sporting goods store sells fishing equipment and another baseball equipment - no problem. The minute one or the other decides to offer the same kinds of products it is decision time at NJN Consulting. We will discuss the situation with both clients. If both clients want to stay with us we have to defer to the client that was with us the longest regardless of revenues derived from the client. It may not be the smart move for getting rich but we sleep well at night.
