Does search engine optimization software automate the search engine optimization process? If I buy this software can I eliminate the need for a search engine optimization consultant?
No. Search engine optimization software is a tool that aids in productivity just as a power saw makes it easier for a carpenter to build a house. The saw doesn't build the house. Putting the saw in the hands of someone who has never used one before will likely produce a house that is inferior to one produced by an experienced carpenter using that same saw. But with training and experience it is reasonable to assume that anyone with the time available to devote to building a house can do so, on their own, using the saw and other tools required to get the job done. Getting the new person to that point will happen a lot faster with a mentor. That is how NJN Consulting sees its role in the search engine optimization process.

Search Engine Optimization is labor intensive. But many of the features in the better search engine optimization software packages can significantly reduce the manual labor required. But someone still has to select the proper keywords and keyword phrases to in corporate into your web pages and in the correct manner. Most software optimization packages do address usability issues which also impacts web page ranking.
